Blue Nile Mashreq Bank – Mobile Branch 1
The first Blue Nile Mashreq Bank (BNMB) Mobile Branch was designed as a flexible, transportable banking solution. Housed in a 12-foot shipping container, the branch could seat 12 customers and included 2 teller stations, a supervisor’s desk, a customer service area, a safe room, an electrical room, and a WC. This innovative design allowed the branch to operate in remote locations with limited resources and was even relocated during the war to help the bank establish a new branch quickly.

Indigo’s Role:
Indigo served as both the designer and contractor for the mobile branch, creating a compact yet fully functional banking solution. Following the success of the first branch, we designed several additional units for BNMB and other banks, some utilizing multiple shipping containers. While construction is currently on hold due to the security situation in Sudan, the project remains a testament to our innovative approach to design and functionality.
