Blue Nile Mashreq Bank – Mobile Branch 2
Following the success of the first mobile branch, Blue Nile Mashreq Bank (BNMB) commissioned a new branch in Zalingi City using shipping containers. The goal was to reduce construction and material costs by completing 80% of the work in Khartoum and transporting the containers to Zalingi for final assembly. This innovative approach allowed the bank to establish a functional branch efficiently and cost-effectively.

- Cost-effective design as 80% of construction completed in Khartoum, minimizing on-site work in Zalingi.
- Proposals for both 2 and 4 shipping containers to meet the bank’s needs.
- Enhanced capacity as the new branch accommodates 5 tellers and seats up to 30 customers, supporting higher traffic.
- Designed to operate in areas with limited resources and infrastructure.
Indigo’s Role:
Indigo developed multiple design proposals for the Zalingi branch, utilizing 2 and 4 shipping containers to create a functional and scalable banking solution. Our designs accommodated 5 tellers and up to 30 customers, ensuring the branch could handle higher traffic. By completing most of the construction in Khartoum, we helped the bank save time and costs while delivering a high-quality, remote-ready branch.
